Reginetti originated in Italy’s Southern regions of Campania and Sicily. The name means “little queens” in Italian, a reference to the royal association with Princess Mafalda of Savoy, a beloved figure in the country’s history. The pasta’s distinctive ribbon-like form with wavy edges is designed to resemble the lace or frills on a queen’s gown. Traditionally used in dishes that feature rich, hearty sauces with meat, cheese, and vegetables, Reginetti brings a touch of regal elegance to any meal.

Our whole grain pastas feature a blend of organic durum semolina and organic, stone-milled hard red wheat from the New York’s Finger Lakes region. The Holy Grail of Whole Grain Pasta

About 6 years ago I discovered my cholesterol was borderline high. Since I hate pharmaceuticals I decided to change my diet completely and get rid of not only the cheese I love but most of the sugar and refined flour products too, since they contribute to the ills of the cardiovascular system. I tried every whole grain pasta on Whole Foods' shelves, and most of them were blah at best. But Sfoglini's whole grain reginetti was just the opposite -- just as good as the best refined semolina pastas and better than a lot of them. My cholesterol came back down and I intend to keep it that way! A year or so ago my local Whole Foods stopped carrying Sfoglini. I went back to other brands of whole grain pastas but gave up on them and ordered my whole grain reginetti from the Sfoglini website. My order was shipped quickly and I'm delighted to have this pasta back in my pantry. I'll order from Sfoglini every time I'm half a box away from running out!

Love everything I've tried, but...

Can't fault the pasta. Everything we've tried has been excellent. Seriously, though, between the price and the shipping costs, Sfoglini will be a very occasional purchase.

Delicious!

I use the different grain pastas with a roasted mushroom sauce. Buy various different mushrooms (as many varieties as you can find!) and roast them in the oven with olive oil, garlic (sometimes onion). Then toss with the pasta! DEEEELISH!!
