Cascatelli by Sporkful - 6 Pack

An Original Pasta Shape — Designed for Maximum Sauceability

Three-time James Beard Award winner Dan Pashman, creator and host of  The Sporkful food podcast, presents Cascatelli (Italian for Waterfalls). Launched in 2021 after three years of development with Sfoglini, this award winning pasta maximizes three qualities:

  • Sauceability: How readily sauce adheres to the shape.
  • Forkability: How easy it is to get the shape on your fork.
  • Toothsinkability: How satisfying it is to sink your teeth into it.

Listen to the story of Dan’s quest to create this shape in a special Sporkful series entitled “Mission: ImPASTAble,” available in your podcasting app or at Sporkful.com.

Try Cascatelli in our recipe for Double Pork Ragu or Chicken Pot Pie Pasta.

Cascatelli

The 6 pack arrived very quickly! I’m an elementary school teacher and as a class we read an article in a Scholastic magazine about how you came up with the shape. My students loved it SO much that we plan on having a Cascatelli party on the last day before Thanksgiving! Mangia!

Cascatelli and Creamy Shrimp Salad a match made in heaven

I paired the Cascatelli pasta with a creamy shrimp salad and it was amazing! The shape of the pasta was perfect to hold the yummy creamy sauce. Here is the recipe https://www.inspiredtaste.net/58743/shrimp-salad/ . I substituted Chef Paul Prudhomme's Magic Salmon Seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning. It was a hit and the family loved it!

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS INCORRECT

If you cook at recommended time on box pasta is not cooked in the middle. Every time I cook a box I need to cook 18 to 20 minutes to be done. With that said I still rate it 5 stars. Shape is great and holds more sauce than any other pasta. Other than lasagna or shells this is my go to for all pasta dishes.
