We enjoy the darker color and subtle flavor of this pasta. I think we will reduce the cooking time to see if we can get a bit more texture out of it and retain more of its pretty shape.
I love the addition of rye to these trumpets- it adds a slightly more intense whole grain flavor and they reliably cook to al dente. I first ordered them because the w.w. standard trumpets were out. I love them but I’m not sure if I prefer them to the standard trumpets so I order both😎
I just ordered these and made them for my husband and I. They are very tasty and we both enjoyed them. The negative is the high carb content.
